The Château d'Archenne is located in a manor park in Grez Doiceau in Belgium. The contrast between the antique sand-lime brick building and the modern TiSUN large collectors, which have been placed on a special platform, could not be more obvious. The project demonstrates the fact that contemporary and economical forms of alternative energy usage go along with ancient architecture. The owners of the castle, a five-member family, live in a 300 m² private house next to the 800 m² castle. Both buildings are heated by the TiSUN solar system. Apart from producing the regenerative energy for those two buildings, the solar system also provides heat for a 100 square metre outdoor swimming pool used by the family.
